Today, Being a Man and a Husband Is Not as Easy as It Seems
Men feel tired, overwhelmed, and stressed too. Many carry the immense responsibility of being providers for their partners and families—a role deeply tied to their pride and sense of identity. They thrive on respect from their partners, and knowing their partner is proud of them is one of the greatest gifts a man can receive. A woman’s pride in her partner can strengthen or weaken the foundation of love and lifelong commitment, as well as shape a man’s sense of self-worth.
Driven by a natural desire to achieve, men strive to grow, succeed, and “bring home the bread” while juggling the complexities of modern life.
Though men may not always express it as openly as women, many come home after long, exhausting days and continue to give. I’ve seen men in their ties start cooking dinner, bathe their children, help with homework, pick up groceries, drive kids to activities, and more.
To the men reading this: please feel free to share what else you do. I want to acknowledge and honor all of you who put your hearts into supporting your families every single day.
